Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. When she moved to Oxfordshire in the age group of five, Emma enrolled at The Dragon School. Since the age of 6 Emma was aware she would like to become an actress. Over several years, she was a student at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre academy where she studied singing dancing and acting. At the age of 10 Emma took part in a variety of Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel premiered for the first occasion in the year 1999. Agents for casting found Emma through her Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were selected as the 3 leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. The movie's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. It broke all records on the opening weekend and numbers, and was the highest-grossing film of 2001. The film was praised by critics and its performances by the three young stars. The highly distributed British publication The Daily Telegraph called her acting performance as admirable. Emma's performance received nominations and was awarded five more times in the film.
