Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to many classical music as well as the traditional Boleros. She also listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos and operas. Also, she loves drama performances. Ana began to study singing and play music from an early age, along together with her mom. She received more formal training in singing when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. It was at the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. While a young student and professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. After relocating to The United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm for the arts, music, and performing keep her engaged in many local projects in the roles of teacher and performer. Ana was also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as along with an active member of Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through the sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, in particular among younger people and keep the tradition in the present.
